Swim season has never been so fun thanks to Mimi Hammer's incredibly playful, beautifully constructed swimwear collection for women. Specializing in extra-EXTRA high waist bottoms, the Mimi Hammer design fits and compliments any body type, a very welcome rarity. With a simple, interchangeable pallet of solids, geometric and pin-up patterns, each piece represent both classic and contemporary styling, unique to the wearer.

Mimi Hammer is designed and created by Camille Forcherio, a young Montreal designer and talented seamstress. Accompanied by her business and life partner Joao Crisostomo, this dynamic entrepreneurial team has built a hugely successful Canadian brand within only a few short years.  At age 21 (I know! crazy right!?), after graduating from Fashion Design at LaSalle College, Camille was working at her father's restaurant in Montreal. In her spare time, she began making suits by hand for her friends. Recognizing that each suit required a specific fit, demanded detailed tailoring and needed to reflect both modesty and confidence, Camille quickly realized that she was creating something both entirely unique and meaningful.

Camille describes Mimi Hammer swimwear as “feminine, modest and comfortable.”

Mimi Hammer sources their fabrics from within Italy or North America. Camille and Joao wish they could find more materials locally, but confess that it's a difficult pursuit. Recently, they've managed to locate a few suppliers in Montreal which has been very exciting for them. They hope to see this trend in local manufacturing grow.

As an entrepreneurial team, Camilla and Joao, are humble in their success and proud that their hard work has been appreciated by so many women...and men! With growing attention and an ever expanding collection, you are sure to see much more of Mimi Hammer this summer and beyond.
